What Is Cut Edge Corrosion?

Cut edge corrosion usually starts to occur at the exposed edges of coated metal roofing sheets—usually where sheets are cut during installation. Over time, weather and UV exposure cause the protective coating to peel away, leading to rust, water ingress, and potentially costly structural damage.
